“In these very limited circumstances where two or more presidential preference groups are tied for the loss or gain of a delegate, groups must each draw a single card from a deck of cards to break the tie”, party officials stated in a memo to CNN.

Ultimately, Nevada and SC won out over Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Washington, D.C., Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, West Virginia and Hawaii.

Roberta Lange is not the only Democrat that is not amused by Republicans interfering with their caucus.

This will be Sanders’ first time proving himself in a state that has a diverse racial population – a factor that some claim is a weakness for the Independent Vermont senator – and a win would not only silence those critics but boost him as he heads into SC a few days later.

Doll said he expects about 100 to attend each precinct caucus site, which would be similar to 2008, the last time the Democrats had more than one candidate in a the primary field.

This year, Republican precinct caucuses in Washington state are going to be a little different than they have been in the past.

Nevada Democrats will caucus on Saturday Feb. 20. It would allow GOP voters to participate in both the republican and democratic caucuses. And they also pointed out that their caucus day was on a weekend, unlike Republicans, who are holding their caucus on a weeknight.

This year the party is relying on the presidential primary votes in choosing the Republican candidate.

But Jon Ralston, an MSNBC political analyst and influential voice in Nevada media, this week introduced a possible wrinkle.

“The Nevada Secretary of State said in a statement Friday said it was monitoring the situation, saying in part: “(I)t is a concern that a registered voter in Nevada might participate in both caucuses. Republicans are more organized, orderly and faster, but they reserve more power for party leaders and are less available to new voters. This year’s caucus is expected to have double the turnout of 2012, but not as big of a turnout as 2008.
