Never expected ‘Fan’ would be loved universally: Shah Rukh

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan has reached this pinnacle of success in Bollywood and his last outing “Fan” is a testimony to his success.

The actor has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in the Maneesh Sharma-directed film in which he plays double role of a superstar Aryan Khanna and his lookalike admirer Gaurav. According to industry experts, the film is doing great business even than Dilwale Dhulania Le Jayenge.

Shah Rukh has clarified his comments during the intolerance controversy, saying that his remarks were taken out of context. “I am the most proud Indian in the world because nobody has got more from this country than me”. “So how can I think of my country like this?” he quipped. “I will tell all young people to be tolerant, be happy, work hard and take this nation forward”, Shah Rukh said on TV show “Aap Ki Adalat”, aired on India TV.

“My family itself is mini-India. My wife is a Hindu, I am a Muslim by birth and my three children follow three religions so how can I think of my country like this?”, he added. We never expected it to be embraced so lovingly and so universally. The night of the “Comedy Night Bachao” started with Shah Rukh Khan aka King Khan making a Don-type entrance, off course, he was looking handsome as always, in his blue suit, and of course, the vintage sunglass literally making him smoking hot. SRK’S film dominated the box office on the opening day of its release, but a decline in the collections was witnessed on the second day of the film’s release.
