Never Trump PAC Urges RNC Rules Committee Members To Unbind Delegates
She, like other anti-Trumpers, insists RNC delegates already have the right to vote against their states’ primary results.

Trump foes are pinning their hopes on Thursday’s meeting of the 112-member convention Rules Committee, which includes Florida Republican National Committeeman Peter Feaman of Boynton Beach.
Yet the general lack of enthusiasm has prompted more questions about the commitment that GOP officials in Colorado have to electing Trump – and whether they want to keep their distance as they pursue their own re-election bids. During a Wednesday, July 13, 2016, briefing leading up to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland from July 18 to 21, 2016, Williams said he’d prefer people not openly carry firearms during the convention, although OH state law allows the practice, and said police will do everything possible to keep everyone safe.
If Hauglad, Unruh and others succeed in allowing delegates to vote their consciences, Feaman predicted Trump would still win the nomination.
“The court has confirmed what we have said all along: Rule 16 is in effect and thus delegates. are bound to vote in accordance with the election results”, attorney and former Federal Election Commission Chairman Don McGahn, who now works for the Trump campaign, said in a statement. He also said Trump is more likely than Clinton to help pass the Republican House agenda.
Which Donald Trump should we expect?
Trump: “And we will make American great again”. Party presidential nominations might have initially been party and delegate decisions but, over the past century, they’ve become more and more democratic and reflective of, if not necessarily bound to, national primary processes. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen.
“Among the folks I’ve spoken to, there is kind of a begrudging acceptance that Donald Trump has the requisite number of delegates”, Call said.
The effort is a response to Trump’s successes this year in open primaries where non-Republicans were allowed to vote.
“There hasn’t been a whole lot of conciliation going on”, Unruh said of the disagreement between the two sides.
“He’s going to get 1237 (delegates), and it’s going to fly”. Even if they get the rule changes, it is unclear whether they could persuade enough delegates to go against The Donald. “I guess this guy, the money guy, who spent $6 million on this thing. if that in fact is true, that guy just did way more harm to his cause than if he had not done that”. Among them was Rachel Hoff, a delegate from Washington D.C., who is the first openly gay member of the platform committee. The minority report would be subject to a vote by the entire convention.
Republicans veered sharply to the right on immigration, family values and climate change as they crafted the party’s platform ahead of next week’s convention that will formally anoint Donald Trump as their White House nominee.
“I would like to say yes, however”, Trump said.
