‘New 007 will be male and white’ – Brosnan
Following speculation that Daniel Craig will hang up the tuxedo and put away his gadgets after the upcoming “Spectre“, everyone is chiming in about who should and should not be the next James Bond – including a former Bond, Pierce Brosnan.

Pierce Brosnan has a few thoughts on the next James Bond. “His name is James, his name is James Bond”, he insisted. However, Bond creator and author Anthony Horowitz is not a fan of the idea, and he said that the actor is “too street” to play Bond. However, Marvel and Sony ultimately chose to go a more traditional route.
Tom Hardy is also a hot favourite to play James Bond, following his powerhouse performance as both Kray twins in the current crime biopic Legend.
It’s a foregone conclusion that James Bond will return after his adventures in Spectre, the 24th installment of the long-running spy franchise.
“Anything is possible for sure, but I think he’ll be male and I think he’ll be white”, he told the Press Association. Pierce was known to play the iconic role from 1995 to 2002 in movies like “Die Another Day”, “Goldeneye”, “Tomorrow Never Dies” and “The World is Not Enough”.
Elba, best known for The Wire, has always been suggested as one of the most likely candidates to succeed Daniel Craig in the role. James Bond is a guy, he’s all male.
“Idris Elba certainly has the physicality, the charisma, the presence”.
The Mamma Mia! star lives in Malibu and has held dual American citizenship since 2004, but admitted he related to his character’s feeling of being a “fish out of water” in California sometimes. I do miss all of that’.
And Brosnan admitted he couldn’t enjoy a good pint in Malibu.
‘I miss those comedic values here.

Fans of the actor can see Lessons In Love at the cinema later this week, when the film is released at theatres and on demand on September 25.
