Adele’s Hello is the world’s biggest song but she admits writing ‘s…’ songs for her new album.
Last week, Adele shared the video for ‘Hello’, the first single to be taken from her new album, 25. We also reported on Monday afternoon that Adele’s Hello is on course to become the fastest-selling single of the year. The peak was recorded at 1.6 million in an hour, eclipsing the much-anticipated the 1.2 million mark set by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, and making it the biggest Youtube debut of the year. The “dance video” for his “Sorry” was seen about 20 million times in its first 48 hours on YouTube – despite the fact that Bieber doesn’t even appear in it, according to YouTube.
As pure pop singers go, many believe Adele is the rightful Queen and the sales of her comeback single, the melancholy Hello, suggest they’re right.
No matter the reason for the popularity of “Hello”, the video has rocketed off to a record-breaking start on YouTube.
Many are sure to get their own copies of Adele’s “25” when it releases this November. 20.
