In less than seven days, Adele has broken the United Kingdom record for first week album sales. The “Hello” hitmaker has been reported to have made over $25 million even though she barely moved for work past year, according to a Perez Hilton report.

Adele’s 25 – which she has described as a “make up album” and which comes four years after 2011′s 21 – is already a huge hit in the US.

Adele’s last album, 21, was led by the raw intimacy of the heartache song “Someone Like You”. 25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising.

On Thursday the Official Charts Company said sales stand at 737,000, sailing past the 696,000 opening week sales Oasis racked up with Be Here Now in 1997.

“I miss the air, I miss my friends/I miss my mother, I miss it when/Life was a party to be thrown/But that was a million years ago”, written after driving by a park she and her friends hung out in growing up.

In related news, although the songs from “25” cannot be streamed either from Spotify or iTunes, listeners can catch it on Pandora radio, a sort of streaming in a different form.

Adele’s net worth is believed to have topped net worths of her closest music rivals.
