But even before that, the supernatural action has another problem: in the original, you could feel the spirit of scientific discovery because the characters were seeing things they’d never seen before. If you know Kate at all she’s this kind of pansexual beast where it’s just like everybody who’s around her falls in love with her and she’s so loving to everybody she’s around.

If you haven’t watched it recently, try to find a good copy, because on a pure visual level it looks legitimately great, thanks to Ivan Reitman and cinematographer László Kovács.

With more and more reports of ghosts, the trio form their Ghostbusters business. Of course, the original team of Ghostbusters included Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.
Star power: The reboot of the beloved 1980s classic came under fire by fans unhappy about an all-female version.
The new team consists of four of the funniest women on the planet right now: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
Is the new Ghostbusters better than the original? No.
“Particularly as told by these four extraordinary women, if you ask me, was it fun on the set?”
The plot follows similarly to the original, which is probably a huge critique to some.
Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. They were not real enough to be scary, or cartoony enough to be amusing.

The all-star cast of Wiig, McCarthy, McKinnon and Jones are tremendous as the leading characters here. Conversely, the sexist role reversal with the dumb, hot, yet inept male secretary (Chris Hemsworth; Thor) had the potential to be amusing, but sadly falls flat. People love her because she’s here to represent them. “They hit some of the same beats but with new flare”. “Most disappointing was the forgettable villain of the whole movie”.
Those cultural taboos may cost the film a lucrative release in the Chinese market, the second biggest film market in the world. This is a great movie you need to take your family to see this weekend.

Let’s face it, no one who goes to watch Ghostbusters is expecting to see an Academy Award victor, but if you’re looking for summer fun mixed with a bit of nostalgia, go see this comedy!
