The sudden change allegedly came as fans gravitated to JoJo after “Bachelor” Ben Higgins told both she and Lauren “I love you”.

In the press release (via Entertainment Tonight) for the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette“, ABC said that Fletcher will “embark on finding her “unicorn”-her once-in-a-lifetime love”.
The new Bachelorette is JoJo! “I’m friends with Lauren and I think the world of Ben, and seeing them together, it made a lot more sense than I thought it would be”.
Ben was so conflicted with his feelings for the two ladies that even when he finally bid goodbye to JoJo during the Break Up Limo scene, he said that he was not even sure if he should propose to Lauren.
Bushnell did admit that she had not watched every single episode of the season, but only “bits and pieces”.

The couple has been secretly engaged since the season finale taped this past November and are happy to openly start living life together. Personally, we do think that he brings great drama to the show, but it would’ve really hurt his credibility if he went on the show AGAIN and claimed that he wasn’t there for fame. Higgins proposed marriage to Bushnell in the season finale of ABC’s “The Bachelor”.
