New BlackBerry Android phone, Vienna, may look like this

Given the design of the PRIV and the Passport, it’s nice to see BlackBerry (sort of) return to their roots.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen hinted there was more to come following the Priv’s release, and CrackBerry is giving us our first glimpse.

Renders of what looks to be the next Android-powered BlackBerry smartphone, codenamed “Vienna”, have leaked to CrackBerry.

The images show that the next BlackBerry Android handset should still feature a keyboard. The keyboard looks about the same size of the QWERTY keyboard we saw included with the Priv, which is to say it’ll be on the smaller size. At the moment BlackBerry offers something unique to Android with the keyboard.

BlackBerry Priv buyers are somewhat confused with regards to which models of the Canadian firm’s flagship Android device support wireless charging. It is definitely not the company’s first slider phone, but it is the company’s first slider phone in the past few years.

As of now, it looks like BlackBerry PRIV is selling pretty well given the fact that the smartphone is sold out at many retailers.

BlackBerry sells many of its recent smartphones directly to consumers, including the new BlackBerry Priv.

The color options of the speculated second Android-OS BlackBerry phone include white or silver, blue, orange and green, but there are no final designs yet for the production model. We don’t have any details or specifications to go off just yet, but you can bet this will be running Android with BlackBerry’s tweaks on top.
