New BlackBerry Venice Leaked Pictures Show Customization Options
The number of leaks the device has seen over the past few weeks has already given us a fairly good understanding about a lot of the hardware specs of the upcoming handset, including the fact that the device will come with the BlackBerry’s trademark physical QUERTY keypad.

BlackBerry’s worst kept secret is the fact that the company has developed an Android-powered smartphone which will be officially announced in the near future. Even just three days ago, we got yet another look at the phone thanks to someone’s crafty spy shot skills at the Toronto Film Festival. The one of them is Google Now, while the other options allow you to initiate local search, or send a message. There are some BlackBerry tweaks, though, like some slightly different icons and a new Recent Apps UI.
The latest batch of photos reportedly showcasing the Venice do indeed reveal a device that we’ve seen several times over the last several months, showing a slider device running Android but boasting a BlackBerry logo on its shell.

If the leaked photo is indeed that of the BlackBerry Venice, this will be the first public sighting of the device. BlackBerry has also added a couple of shortcuts to the gesture that lets you access Google Now by sliding your finger up from the app drawer button. Continuing on with the focus on productivity, BlackBerry will be providing home-screen shortcuts for the event planner to setup new events and check for scheduled appointments. There’s also an 18-megapixel camera in back and a Snapdragon 808 processor under the hood.
