New BlackBerry Venice Photo Leak Shows Device Being Used In Public
Even just three days ago, we got yet another look at the phone thanks to someone’s crafty spy shot skills at the Toronto Film Festival. The last time we saw such interest in a new ‘Berry was when the ill-fated BlackBerry Storm was being prepped for its Titanic-like maiden voyage. The number of leaks the device has seen over the past few weeks has already given us a fairly good understanding about a lot of the hardware specs of the upcoming handset, including the fact that the device will come with the BlackBerry’s trademark physical QUERTY keypad.

Another picture showcase the Recent Apps page, which reveals that the “card” for each program is set in different sizes depending on how frequently you use that one program.
The BlackBerry “Venice” is no secret; we’ve been seeing leaks left and right for a few weeks now. This device will be made for enterprise security, one of BlackBerry’s big target markets for most of their business-oriented devices.
You can see what appears to be the launcher’s app drawer open, with a quick search bar on top, followed by an apps, widgets, and shortcuts tabs directly below it. Probably our least favorite aspect of Lollipop is the new task switcher/recents menu and it appears BlackBerry felt the same way. BlackBerry Venice users will also be able to write an email or BBM message, and send a text directly from the home screen.
Android Authority says the phone’s expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and an 18MP camera.

Speaking of shortcuts, the other images don’t show this, but according to Android Authority’s anonymous source, there are also a variety of keyboard shortcuts baked into the operating system.
