New challenge for Trump after Cruz bows out
His comments came a few hours after Trump, once dismissed as a fringe contender, became all-but certainly the leader of the Republican Party into the fall campaign against Clinton.

John Kasich will reportedly drop out of the presidential GOP race, reports FOX News.
Though armed with an extensive resume in politics, the second-term OH governor struggled to connect with Republican primary voters in a year dominated by anti-establishment frustration. If I had a similar choice-say, between supporting a liberal Trump or supporting Ted Cruz-what would I do?
Clinton is already suiting up for a fight against the likely Republican nominee, Donald Trump, after he won a landslide victory in IN on Wednesday, forcing the other GOP candidates out of the race.
“While I suspend my campaign, I have renewed faith, deeper faith, that the Lord will show me the way forward and fulfil the goal of my life”, Kasich told his supporters in OH, making a reflective note of his journey so far as a nominee to the White House.
After Indiana, Kasich had fewer delegates than Marco Rubio did when he called it quits.
Blitzer then asked Trump if he was going to vet Kasich as a vice presidential nominee.
Warren has been mentioned by party insiders as a potential running mate for likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Kasich spent most of his address describing his personal experience on the campaign trail.
“I would certainly consider him but we do have a lot of candidates I think would be very good”, he said. “It was 17 candidates”.
“You’ve got to tell people what it is you’re going to do and how you’re going to do it”.
The decision comes a day after Trump won a big victory in the in primary, forcing his chief rival, Senator Ted Cruz, to abandon his campaign.
A national CNN poll this week has both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders ahead of Trump in a hypothetical general election matchup.

“I particularly want to commend Donald Trump”, he said in a radio interview.
