New Clinton ad attacks Trump’s veteran comments

Trump made his comments just hours after touting the endorsement of 89 retired military personnel and the release of a CNN/ORC poll that shows him leading Clinton 45-43 percent in a four-way race with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 7 percent and Green Party’s Jill Stein at 2 percent.

She added that those same individuals view Trump as “a danger and a risk”. “It makes them look like political operators versus law enforcement officers”, Ryan said in a radio interview with WRJN’s Glenn Klein.

Specifically, the ad shows military veterans watching some of the NY billionaire’s more provocative statements, including his claim to know more about the Islamic State group than military generals, his criticism of Arizona Sen.

Trump, in a national-security focused Q-and-A with former Defense Intelligence Agency chief Michael Flynn, described the Iran-Iraq war in flippant terms, saying that the two countries would “fight fight fight”.

“Our veterans deserve better”, reads a line at the end of the ad, which is airing in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Nevada and Pennsylvania.

Kaine, Clinton’s running mate and a Virginia senator, was also in North Carolina on Tuesday.

The 256-page book, released Tuesday, details their policy proposals, including ideas for economic growth, uniting the American people, and foreign policy and policy. Kaine’s introduction, entitled “Fighting for Right”, describes his service in Honduras and the inspiration he drew from his father-in law, former Virginia Governor Linwood Holton. That could be hard with so many high-profile Republicans publicly spurning him and so many women Republicans also resisting his appeal. Trump didn’t elaborate and opted instead to change the subject to what he’s good at. She calls the trip a failure, given Trump’s longstanding refrain about building a wall, and making the Mexican government pay for it.

The Democratic nominee has suggested before on the campaign trail that she is always held to a different standard from other candidates. Just 35 percent say that about Clinton. The location was not announced.

The poll, which compares the candidates’ chances in all 50 states ahead of the November general election, gives Clinton a large edge in electoral votes over her GOP rival. Only 36 percent of married women support Clinton. While they will appear separately and not be on stage at the same time, it could serve as a warm-up to their highly-anticipated first presidential debate on Sep. Campaigning in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Trump vowed to take aggressive action to help veterans at home and confront threats overseas including acts of terrorism from the Islamic State group. Clinton’s lead has largely evaporated despite a challenging month for Trump, which saw an overhaul of his campaign staff, announcements of support for Clinton from several high-profile Republicans and criticism of his campaign strategy.
