New Clinton Emails Released

A new batch of personal server e-mails sheds light on the relationship between the Clinton foundation and the state department when she was secretary.

Another presses the State Department to put wealthy Lebanese-Nigerian businessman Gilbert Chagoury in touch with the USA ambassador in Nigeria. Band is reassured by Abedin that “Personnel has been sending him options”.

In a nutshell: More than 40 new State Department emails were released this week in response to a Freedom of Information lawsuit filed by a conservative group, Justice Watch. The group did not respond to a CNN request for comment. “Earlier this year the DOJ denied a request from the FBI to investigate her pay-to-play, corrupt Clinton Foundation”, the Trump campaign wrote in an email to supporters. We went through a thorough process to identify all of my work-related emails and deliver them to the State Department. “Very imp”, Mr Band wrote.

Lynch, as we know, had a private meeting with Bill Clinton last month, just before the Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewed Hillary. Huma Abedin, a top Clinton aide, offered to connect Chagoury with Jeff Feltman, the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon at the time. “I’m sure he knows him, ” Abedin said in her email to Band. Now!’ the email said.

In a statement, Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin accused Judicial Watch of trying to “mischaracterize these documents”.

The emails show that that donors to the foundation were treated by Ms Clinton’s aides as top priorities, even when it came to applying for government jobs.

‘News of its rejection comes immediately after leaked emails exposed a concerning link between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department!’ the plea continued. They show her interacting with lobbyists, political and Clinton Foundation donors and business interests as secretary of state.

“I’m not going to speak to specific emails”, she said again, now adding that working with “a wide variety of outside individuals and organizations, including businesses, nonprofits, NGOs, think tanks” was not unusual for her Department either.

“If it’s true, it’s illegal”, Trump said. In early 2009, a donor to Clinton’s 2008 campaign, Lana Moresky, asked Clinton directly for help finding an associate a job at the State Department.

Those emails became the subject of a long-running investigation over whether she mishandled classified information on the emails that ran through an unsecured private email server she used as secretary of state rather than a more secure government email server. Some of these disclosures – such as donations from Saudi Arabia before Clinton was secretary of state and smaller ones in 2014, after she left office – have raised hackles. The Republican Party has said that Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, sought to help contributors to the foundation in a “pay-for-play” scheme. At the time, DOJ declined because it had looked into allegations surrounding the Clinton Foundation around a year earlier and found there wasn’t sufficient evidence to open a case.

The only reason FBI Director James Comey didn’t recommend she be prosecuted is because, well, he lacks a spine and he’s corrupt. In reality, Judicial Watch released closer to 500.

The Daily Caller also cited previous reports that Hillary Clinton is considering keeping Lynch as attorney general if she wins the presidency. She has said that some 55,000 pages of emails she previously gave to the State Department represented all her “work-related” emails.
