New details released from Patriots DE Chandler Jones’s medical emergency
After the Patriots defensive end was admitted, then released from the hospital on Sunday under mysterious circumstances, more details have emerged as to what caused him to land there in the first place. The entire original report about Jones going to the hospital after a trip to the police station was really weird, but add in a report of synthetic marijuana to it and stuff is getting real unusual.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick started a news conference Thursday by reacting to a report that player Chandler Jones had a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana.
On Thursday, Foxborough police released the police report on the incident, which confirms that Jones did indeed have a bad reaction to a drug, though it doesn’t confirm if it was synthetic marijuana.
There weren’t any narcotics in his possession, cops said, as they spoke to Jones, who was “polite, cooperative and respectful”.
“Chandler’s got a lot of support in this locker room”, receiver Danny Amendola said on Wednesday as the Patriots prepared for their playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jones appeared nervous and anxious, police said, and was evaluated by paramedics. “This week, I’m focused on having probably the biggest game of my life and just try to clear this”.
When cops sprinted toward Jones, he laid down on his stomach with his arms wide out – and told cops, “I’m Chandler Jones”… and that he had “been told” to come to the station.
According to the report, Jones was unable to provide police with a plausible explanation as to why he was there, other than that he had “been told” to go there.
The Patriots said Jones did not miss any practice or meetings this week. “I could just Xerox you a copy of the game plan and you can send it over to Kansas City”.
There’s no word yet on whether this could affect Jones playing against the Chiefs. “I don’t think that’ll ever change”. “Might be easier for all of us”.
Jones has not been made available to the media this week.

Questioned further as to why he denied police involvement, even though an officer reportedly traveled to Jones’ home to ensure that the residence was secure, O’Leary stuck to his guns.
