“I know they always make up stories saying that I want puppies and things delivered”, she joked at the end of the clip. “I don’t know, but I’m at home and this is what I wear”.

Carey stressed Packer was not a professional entertainer and that the reality TV world was not his natural habitat.

According to Carey, her kids have both inherited some form of their mothers musical genes. “I get put in situations that might be awkward or uncomfortable or asked questions, and I just speak my truth”.

“We’re still drawing them”.

On why she’s doing a docu-series now: “I mean, it’s my life, and I figured, if I don’t document this right now, I’m not sure when I’m going to go on tour again”. “Oh, it was the most abusive experience”, she told journalists at a press summit in the spring (via Billboard). “By the way, you’ve just driven me to drink”.

Her statement may come as a surprise to fans who watched Mariah on television when she appeared as a judge on reality TV singing competition American Idol in 2013. I haven’t been on tour in Europe in about 10 years.

Mariah Carey really hopes this doesn’t all turn into a “big piece of dog s-“. “Anybody else want a touch-up?”

Mariah does not have happy memories of her time on American Idol.

Not wanting to give viewers the wrong impression, a voiceover from Mariah says: “I am not Cinderella!”

“Yes, he’s part of the series”, she confirmed during a press event in Los Angeles to promote the show. Mariah played coy when asked that very question: “I don’t know what makes the final cut”.

“I’m sorry, was that rude in some way? I’m so not trying to slay anybody at all”.

During the weird panel, Mariah also hinted that ex-husband Nick Cannon may or may not be seen during the series.

“I don’t, I don’t throw shade”, she said. I don’t know what these other shows are, because I don’t watch them. I can be bossy. Cameras follow Carey as she prepares for a European tour, capturing moments of stress, silliness, and family time.

“I’m taking a different approach with this record because I’m not holding myself to the studio like, ‘I’m making this album top to bottom.’ People don’t really do that anymore”. Executive producer Matt Westmore insisted, “I don’t think anybody’s having a problem with the word Botched”, despite the fact that several reporters insisting that it was a problem.
