“It didn’t even seem real at the time, but it happened”, said Angelique Arsenault, Bride.
After Saturday’s nuptials, as the internet exploded with interest about the hitchhiking bride, Arsenault said her phone started ringing and hasn’t stopped.
After waiting 11 years to marry her groom, a flat tire was not going to stop a determined New Hampshire bride from walking down the aisle on her special day.
“We were on the way to the venue and the limo got a flat tire”, Arsenault said.
Katie Queen, her maid of honor, said, “Honestly, for something kinda insane that happened, she was just happy and knew she was going to get there”.
“Honestly, for something kind of insane that happened she was just happy and knew she was going to get there”, Arsenault’s maid of honor, Katie Queen, told ABC News.
“We just laughed about it”, said Arsenault.
“We actually had cars driving by us and they just took pictures and left and then finally someone actually stopped to see if we needed a ride”.
The bridal party was stranded on Russell Hill Road for about 15 minutes before a man named Jay, with his auto full of kids, pulled over to offer his assistance. So he dropped them off, returned, and asked the bride, “where to?”
The couple says they’re just thankful everything worked out and are happily enjoying their honeymoon.
Arsenault was ready to meet her groom Jarod Dunning, who was already waiting at the Mile Away restaurant.
Jay even got an invite to the wedding.
