The heaviest snowfall is expected to fall during Monday morning’s commute.

Winter storm advisories were issued for New Haven and Fairfield counties from 3 a.m.to 6 p.m. on Monday while Hartford and Tolland counties have an advisory from 4 a.m.to 7 a.m. on Monday. The advisory covers Fairfield and New Haven counties.
“This storm is not going to be a direct hit at all”, Cameron said.
Snow is expected to begin falling in Boston and Worcester from 6 a.m.to 8 a.m. Dunham said Worcester could see five to six inches of snow, while Boston could see six to seven inches.
The storm left more than a foot of snow in some spots, but compared to the more than nine feet that fell last winter, New Englanders said they could deal with it.
The storm was New England’s biggest snowstorm so far this season, coming two weeks after a massive blizzard engulfed much of the Eastern Seaboard but largely spared Boston and points north. The earlier Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. Snow accumulations according to the National Weather Service could be up to 18 inches in parts of Plymouth County and upper Cape Cod.
Things finally quiet down by Thursday, but just as it dries out the winds kick in bring in some cold air from the northwest.

Sunday was expected to be sunny with highs in the lower 40s in the afternoon.
