New England Patriots DE Chandler Jones was taken to hospital Sunday

The Herald reports that Jones was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning after he went to the Foxboro Police Department with a medical emergency, but police refused to say what the emergency was.

However, Foxborough Police Chief Edward T. O’Leary denied there was any interaction between Jones and officers working for the department on Sunday.

Jones did practice with the team on Monday and Tuesday.

What caused Jones to arrive to the police department remains unknown, however, with police officials declining to specify what emergency caused Jones to arrive at the police department. “I didn’t talk to the officer. I was able to lock the front door”, the officer said in the audio. “I trust my lieutenant to know the difference”.

The Herald also said the dispatch report was modified shortly after the paper called to inquire about it. O’Leary told the paper medical information was deleted from the report.

Reports surfaced this past weekend that Jones was taken to the hospital on Saturday, but the reasons as to why were kept under wraps.

“It’s protected information on a medical condition”, said O’Leary.

Jones missed the final game of the regular season against the Miami Dolphins due to a toe injury and has been selected to the Pro Bowl this year.
