New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady Dresses Up As A Turkey

Playing compromised has yielded the worst stats of his career and we’d hate to see his time in Denver end with more of the same unspectacular play we’ve witnessed this season. In Belichick’s first two wins at Denver (in 2000 and 2003), he took intentional safeties in the second half of each game to help secure a New England win.

If the Bronco defense can pick up where Buffalo left off, and the Denver offense can consistently connect similar to the New York Giants, the Broncos may be able to hand New England their first loss. The Broncos won the only encounter that took place in the playoffs, beating the Patriots in the AFC championship game before going on to lose against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Broncos announced last week that Manning would be ruled out for the foreseeable future with a foot injury picked up in the defeat to Kansas City Chiefs, with Brock Osweiler promoted to starter in his absence.

Osweiler was impressive in his debut, but his second start couldn’t be more daunting. The factors that seem to not affect Brady and the Pats may weigh heavily on the young quarterback and his team. The biggest concern is a sluggish offense that has been decimated by injuries. The total has gone UNDER in eight of the Broncos’ last nine November games as home underdogs. More often than not in the past few weeks, they’ve been settling for field goals instead of touchdowns in the red zone.

Christian Ponder gladly gave up shopping for Thanksgiving groceries to join the Denver Broncos and add quarterback depth with Peyton Manning out. “I’m going against their defense and their football team”. Coming off a bye, they’ll need to discover a rushing game down the stretch, as well as a stingier pass defense. “I was like, ‘Coach, you want me to go in?'” Osweiler recalled.

The situation could well come to a head in the next two weeks, with Manning undoubtedly reaching a point where he will let it be known he is healthy enough to reclaim his starting job, while, unless Osweiler fails in the meantime, that opportunity simply may not exist.

OddsShark likes the Brock Osweiler-led Broncos to upset the unbeaten Patriots on Sunday night. Tom Brady excels in the short passing game like nobody else, and his lack of options out of the slot and out of the backfield will undoubtedly be felt. He might be on the sidelines or up in a coaches box, but it won’t be the same.

Two more teams to watch in Week 12 meet in Seattle, where the Pittsburgh Steelers visit. Kenoy Kennedy, who also recovered Brady’s fumble, intercepted the quarterback on a pass intended for wide receiver David Givens.

Yet, the Broncos probably have not faced an offense like New England’s this year.

In the regular season and postseason combined, Gronkowski is a flawless 5-0 record against the Broncos over his career, recording 428 receiving yards on 34 catches with five touchdowns in those meetings. If Gary Kubiak decides that screen passes and bootlegs from his 6-foot-8 quarterback isn’t the way to beat the Patriots, he could turn the keys over to his duo of running backs in C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman.
