New Era Pinstripe Bowl 2015: Duke vs Indiana
Duke Football is excited to be heading to the Pinstripe Bowl, with head coach David Cutcliffe saying “To be chosen to take part in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl brings an incredible level of excitement to our program…We are thrilled to keep building our program while playing in front of so many Duke University alums and supporters in New York”. The Miami miracle kick return crushed the Blue Devils’ morale, and Duke never fully recovered.

It’s the first time the Hoosiers have been bowl-eligible since 2007, when they lost to Oklahoma State in the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz.
Mark Holtzman, Executive Director of the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, said, “We are excited that the student-athletes and alumni of two iconic institutions in Duke University and Indiana University will be joining us for the 2015 New Era Pinstripe Bowl”.
Duke: Safety Jeremy Cash, ACC defensive player of the year and team leader with 101 tackles; QB Thomas Sirk, who has thrown for 2,462 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for a team-leading 648 yards.
Usually you’d think of the Indiana Hoosiers and Duke Blue Devils matching up in basketball, and they did last Wednesday as Duke won by 20, but now these two programs will get the chance to face off on the gridiron in a bowl game.
Indiana’s football team will spend Christmas in NY. Making it to six wins was a huge burden lifted off the shoulders of coach Kevin Wilson and the players.
Quarterback Nate Sudfeld leads an IN offense with a penchant for putting up points. The senior has completed 60.7 percent of his passes for 3,184 yards and 24 touchdowns. All four have been in different geographic locations. Ohio State finished the regular season at 11-1, with a 7-1 Big Ten record.
“We have tremendous respect for Coach [Kevin] Wilson and the entire Hoosier program”.
Although Duke was disappointed with how the month of November went, the football season will end in December on a grand stage.
The Pinstripe Bowl is one of the nation’s younger bowl games-dating back to 2010-and is among a small handful of bowls that are held in a baseball stadium.

Duke however is on a tailspin, losers of four of their last five games. they are in the top 50 in total offense (40th) and total defense (47th). The Blue Devils and Hoosiers will each receive an estimated payout of $2 million.
