New FOX Comedy Grandfathered Gets Full Season
“‘The Grinder’ is the flawless combination of razor-sharp wit and relatable family dynamics – two hallmarks of successful comedies”, said Fox Broadcasting Company entertainment president David Madden.

Over the last four weeks, The Grinder has averaged a 1.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 4.5 million viewers overall. The comedy is produced by ABC Studios & 20th Century Fox Television and stars John Stamos, Josh Peck, Paget Brewster, Christina Milian, Kelly Jenrette and Ravi Patel.
CBS’s “Supergirl” bowed to good numbers this week, but it will take a few episodes for CBS to decide whether to order a full season.
Grandfathered, which is led by Stamos, is the anchor show for Fox’s comedy block of programming on Tuesday nights.
It would appear that the news for John Stamos isn’t all bad this month, as Fox on Wednesday announced a full season order for his new sitcom, “Grandfathered”.
Fox is committing to a full season of freshman comedy The Grinder. He believes that the series has proven that it is more than up for that particular challenge.
Grandfathered centers on an aging bachelor who discovers that he is both a father and grandfather.

The Grinder airs on Tuesday nights at 8:30pm on Fox, but due to coverage of the World Series, the next new episode won’t air until November 3. Chris Koch is not only an executive producer, but also director for the show. Scream Queens was designed for a limited order, so the series is done for its first installment.
