This as much was said by campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who told the Huffington Post in May that choosing a woman or a minority as running mate “would be viewed as pandering” to certain sectors of America. Trump and his team have said all sorts of things about the timing of the announcement, including sometime soon and in the midst of the convention.
The New York billionaire is considering former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and U.S. Sen.
“Only one person, Trump, is making the decision and he can change his mind from minute-to-minute”, the source said. The Monday night meeting of Clinton and Lynch, the top USA law enforcement officer, at the Phoenix airport has been criticized because Hillary Clinton is under federal investigation for her use of a private email server when she was President Barack Obama’s secretary of state.
There are more than six other possibilities to run alongside Trump, according to the Washington Post. He does make a lot of sense for Trump, however.
Meanwhile in polls, Donald Trump is trailing his democratic rival Hilary Clinton by double digits, falling blelow the ten-point mark for the first time in two weeks, according to a poll by Reuters/Ipsos released Friday.
Ernst, who turned 46 on Friday, said earlier this month that the Trump campaign had not contacted her.
‘He’s the type of person who can help unite the party… he has a number of years of Washington, D.C. experience.
Christie quickly endorsed Trump after dropping out of the race early this year. Does Christie have the Washington know-how that Trump wants?
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich who is also on the list of potential VP picks, was very critical of Trump this week at the Aspen Ideas Festival stating: “Trump’s job is, frankly, to quit screwing up and get the election down to three or four big issues, all of which come down to a single concept”.

And on Thursday, during a small town hall event again focused on trade, Trump veered-off message when he jokingly suggested a plane overhead was a Mexican plane, adding, “they’re getting ready to attack!”
