New God of War nearly set in Egypt
The gameplay of God of War has been reimagined, but the game will retain the same accessibility offered by previous entries in the series. Kratos (who is sporting an awesome beard, it must be said) is trekking through an incredible looking wooded area with a kid on a seemingly simple hunt.

Oh and Kratos now has a son.
Our one concern is that we hope they won’t dumb down the puzzles. The first thing to notice from the latest iteration of Sony Santa Monica’s franchise is the dropping of the number 4 from the title “God Of War” as Gamespot highlights. However, Kratos is an entirely different person who is supposed to be an angry god with awesome powers. However, players will get to experience a more maturing Kratos who is learning to control his rage so he can utilize it much more effectively than he has previously. Time will tell if this father-son bond is explored in-depth across the games entirety, or if this is only one scene out of something much larger. Kratos then begins a path of bloody revenge against Olympus culminating in a face-off with the gods, and their enemies the Titans for good measure, themselves hence “God Of War”. Hence, from the second installment of the game, he had set his journey all the way up to Olympus and finished off every single Greek god and titan that tried to stop him. How do you think this fresh direction for the God of War series is going to turn out?

God of War is back! I really can not wait to see more. Beyond this, details on the story are sparse, but we suspect it will pay subtle homage to the original games when it comes to general story beats and characters. And not just a cinematic trailer, but actual gameplay.
