New Hampshire Union Leader slams Rubio ahead of primary

Cruz, at 7 percent support, lagged behind not just Rubio but also Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), who came in at 13 percent and 10 percent support, respectively. By contrast, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush released a full-page newspaper ad attacking Trump and was airing a two-minute campaign ad in New Hampshire featuring clips of Trump’s on-air insults.

From there, it goes down.

“Marco Rubio hasn’t accomplished one thing in his career”, Chris Christie told MSNBC on Thursday, bashing the young senator as a sheltered bubble boy.

As for the candidate who has spent the least time with the first-in-the-nation primary voters, billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who is leading the GOP field at 38 percent, has only visited 39 times.

“Now, you know, I think that’s the kind of position that New Hampshire voters would be really concerned about”, he added.

For all of his usual bombast and confidence, Trump has shown moments of introspection post-Iowa, both about himself and his campaign operations.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) took first with 28 percent of the vote.

Bush said he was prepared to continue his campaign in SC, but he’s also counting on New Hampshire to “reset” the primary battle and resucitate his flagging candidacy.

“I am 100 percent confident”, she said.

Rubio said he has not asked the Lexington Republican for her endorsement, though the pair have stayed in touch during the campaign. Rubio has reasoned that Trump has unveiled insufficient policy, and therefore, hasn’t given him reason enough to criticize him, even though they disagree on several fundamental issues.

The New Jersey governor suggested Rubio was unfairly benefiting from a media bump in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses.

“He’s never gotten anything done except get up in the morning, smile, and give the same exact speech he’s given for years”, Mr Christie said yesterday (Thursday).

“On the Republican side this time around, it seems the potential is there for the race to be hot and heavy by mid-March”, said Aubrey Jewett, a political science professor at the University of South Florida.

He thinks Kasich and Christie could do it – but not Bush. Let’s see if he’ll gaggle with you guys every day like I’m here. “I don’t understand how that’s a qualification for president of the United States”. “A key part of his message has always been that he’s a victor and now that he’s lost something Republicans – and especially conservatives – aren’t finding him as compelling as they did a few weeks ago”. If not, Bush can look forward to February 27 and SC, where supporters expect he’ll do well. He called Rubio and Texas Sen. But going into the second presidential contest in New Hampshire next week, he’s doing anything he can to keep his flagging campaign on the rails.

“He is a nice man, good family”, she said, but, “I feel like (Rubio) could save the Republican party”. I don’t think he wants to sit here and answer your tough questions about his flip-flops on immigration, he wants to answer your tough questions about his lack of record and inexperience, he wants to answer your questions about why he ran away from his own immigration bill when it got too hot, I’m fascinated to hear the answers and I’m sure you will be too.
