New Honda CBR250RR Fully Unveiled in Indonesia

Currently, The CBR250RR will be produced at Honda’s production facility in Indonesia. The big question though is whether this bike will come to India.
“Indonesia has been chosen as the first country in the world to manufacture and launched this Honda’s flagship model in supersport category”. In addition, its Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) system and selectable 3-way engine mode settings allow the rider to tap into its linear power output at will, for a superior, solid acceleration. Hydraulic single-disc at the front and rear is combined with ABS as standard and the front and rear tyres are rated at 110/70-17 and 140/70-17, respectively. The front retains its CBR roots with the dual-LED headlights, while the nose down-tail up design keeps it authentic to the sport bike styling. The Japanese bike maker plans to begin sales of the new sports bike in the South East Asian country by the end of 2016, while sales in Japan will commence on a later date.
But it doesn’t look like the CBR250RR will be making the trip from Indonesia to the US any time soon. A newly designed steel pipe truss frame “realizes both strength and flexibility”, according to Honda, While the bike’s swing arms are aluminum gull arms, the right-side allowing the bike to be slimmer while retaining bank angle.
The CBR250RR is based on the Light Weight Super Sports Concept that was showcased by Honda at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Although not being specified yet, competing with the KTM RC250, Yamaha YZF-R25 and the Kawasaki Ninja 250, the 2017 Honda CBR250RR’s parallel-twin should output somewhere between 30 to 37 hp. True to the concept, the CBR250RR features a Dollars suspension setup at the front and Pro-link suspension featuring 5-step preload at the rear.
