New, improved Apple TV may come in September
iPhone 6s rumors in July have outed potential specs and potential iPhone 6s release date details and it looks like we might only have a few weeks to go before Apple unleashes a powerful new iPhone.

If Apple does reveal updated hardware and/or the streaming service in 2015, it will probably do so in September or October, when it usually announces new iPhones and iPads. If what’s said about the new streaming device turns out to be true, the next generation model will be a significant upgrade over the now shipping model with an improved remote control in tow.
Finally, Apple should release an SDK as well as a dedicated App Store for the TV.
Paczkowski also writes that a streaming TV service from Apple, which earlier reports had said could be launched as soon as this fall, may not come out until next year. The talk of equipping the TV with a Apple’s latest A8 chip would be a serious bump from the single-core Apple A5.
Taiwan-based website DigiTimes has a mixed track record at reporting on Apple’s upcoming product plans, but its sources within the upstream supply chain have proven reliable in the past. However, as more rumors are funneling the mill, Apple TV is certain to be released this year.
In 2009, Apple proposed a $30-a-month subscription service, and since then the company has periodically tried different strategies. September is going to be a big month for Apple.

The new Apple TV will be launching alongside a long-awaited App Store for the platform, and the software development kit that is needed by developers to create and release apps for Apple TV. And considering how modern displays have multiple input connectors, it would be a small matter to equip displays in meeting rooms with support for both Apple TV, Google Chromecast and perhaps even Microsoft’s Miracast adapter. The new Apple TV will support Siri for voice commands and pack a new remote with a built-in touchpad. A September unveiling could potentially drive consumer interest in the run up to the Christmas shopping season, but in any case, Apple will be hoping that the device can hold its own in the increasingly competitive set-top box market.
