New iPhone launch likely Sept. 9

As for the release date of the iPhone 6S, September 9 will be day when Apple will unveil the next generation iPhone in a special media event. BuzzFeed stated the 12.9-inch tablet, rumored to be called the “iPad Pro”, is a “wildcard” for the September event. The two smartphones are rumored to have a Force Touch display, an enhanced camera system, a faster LTE chip and an A9 processor, among others.

According to the unnamed sources, Apple has now picked up the date to release their latest devices and it will possibly land on September 2015. Mark your calendar? Of course, this date cannot be confirmed yet, nor can we confirm yet what exactly Apple will have in store for us next month.

Normally, Apple has held its iPhone events in September, and its iPad events in October. According to rumors, the decline in iPhone sales could be one viable reason for the Cupertino-based tech giant to expedite the launch.

Some less substantiated rumors include a third iPhone, an update to the 5c, and different color options, but those features aren’t being talked about as much.

However, it is expected to feature the same “force touch” technology that Apple developed for the Apple Watch.

The company’s next-gen Apple TV will reportedly be a major upgrade to the rather grubby looking set-top box that hasn’t seen any changes since early 2012. That along with the promise of a longer battery life with iOS 9 should make for really impressive battery life from the upcoming handsets from Apple.

The new Apple TV is expected to have a “drastically improved” remote control with touch input, a new case, Apple’s A8 processor and a voice activated Siri ready to answer your questions, perform various tasks and presumably act as a voice-controlled HomeKit hub. A new operating system for the device should go live in the fall, which will enable native apps and direct Wi-Fi connectivity from the device.

What’s more interesting about the Buzzfeed report is that it claims that Apple might also unveil new iPads and the latest version of Apple TV along with the iPhones.
