New iPhone may have wireless earbuds

It isn’t clear what kind of hardware the company will promote instead, but the answer could be a hint at some of Apple’s future plans.

All eyes will be on San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium Wednesday when Apple hosts its latest product launch, which is expected to mark the iPhone 7’s eagerly-anticipated debut.

This has led to speculation that the firm is set to expand its use of wireless technology. Since most devices support 3.5mm headphone jacks, users may find it a bit troublesome if Apple adopts lightning headphone.

It seems many commentators expect Apple to ditch the headphone jack, leaving the new iPhone with only one port.

But despite a recent dip in iPhone sales, most Apple watchers expect the company to save its next big overhaul for 2017, the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone’s release.

“If it’s missing the 3.5-millimetre earphone jack, that’s going to tick off a lot of people”, Wozniak told The Australian Financial Review last week.

Aside from a possible 256GB storage option, the iPhone 7 Plus may also include a three-pinned Smart Connector same as that of the iPad Pro, allowing other accessories, like a keyboard dock, to be attached to the smartphone. Overall, Apple has built a loyal following with 60 percent of current iPhone users interested in the new iPhone 7. And no headphone jack means that existing headsets won’t work with the new iPhones without an adapter.

First off: you’re not going to be able charge your phone and listen to music at the same time.

Apple will make it newest phone announcement following the iPhone SE (pictured).

We will have more information about Apple’s new smartwatch and also their new iPhones when they are made official this week.

Some believe Apple’s real goal is to move people away from cords and plugs altogether.

Counterpoint analyst Jeff Fieldhack said Samsung stole the thunder from local rival LG Electronics’ (066570.KS) launch of the G5 smartphone this year by starting the sales of the Galaxy S7 smartphones a month earlier and backing them with an aggressive marketing campaign.

Get ready to lose your earbuds.

But maybe you don’t want any spoilers, and just tune in live to get the news straight from the horse’s mouth?

“It might be good if you had a Bluetooth headset that connects to your phone and your watch at the same time”, she said. One of these is related to alleged color variants for the device. We’ve seen rumors that have claimed up to five color variants for the iPhone.

That piano black version may even be considered as an exclusive to the more expensive, premium high storage capacity models of the iPhone 7, with initial release of the said model will be extremely limited because of limited supply. If you lose your headphones you’ll need to shell out fifty or so bucks for an Apple pair, or maybe buy a dorky $30 adaptor for older headphones.
