New Jersey voters head to polls as primaries appear decided
Around half of the registered voters in San Diego County will cast a ballot in Tuesday’s primary election, according to an analysis by the National University System Institute for Policy Research. According to one poll, an estimated 45 percent of registered Californina voters are expected to vote in the presidential primary as well as the local measures on the ballot Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, meantime is scheduled to make a speech later Tuesday evening from the Trump National Golf Club in NY. “Whether voters seek assistance verifying their registration status or encounter barriers at the polls, Election Protection stands ready to help ensure that all eligible voters in California are able to exercise the fundamental right to vote”. Nearly all of the early voters who were interviewed by Field had filled out their ballots before the State Department’s inspector general issued a report savaging Hillary Clinton for her exclusive use of a private e-mail server, which broke the rules associated with the Federal Records Act.

The Field Poll predicts that two-thirds of voters will cast ballots by mail.
On the Republican side, Donald Trump has had the nomination locked up for weeks.
Once the primaries became binding on delegates’ first-ballot voting, there had to be rules to determine how the delegates would get awarded to the presidential candidates.
There were also workers outside in front of the Elections headquarters for anyone who drove up and wanted to drop off a completed ballot.
An exit poll conducted by Capitol Weekly, showed Clinton with a 12 percentage point lead among early voters. “She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then”, Sanders noted in the statement.
Attorney General Hector Balderas said Tuesday that his office will help the Secretary of State’s Office and the state’s 33 county clerks to ensure no voting laws are broken. Political junkies are wondering how many Republican voters still aren’t prepared to vote for Trump. For instance, in 2014, Alameda County only received 5 percent of vote-by-mail ballots before Election Day.
Presidential politics aside, the marquee matchup Tuesday is for California’s first open U.S. Senate seat in 24 years.
The real election fights are being waged down the ballot in the state Legislature.
Voters often go to the wrong polling place, Connors said. You can also contact the Elections Division at 654-2664.

Keep an eye on California’s jungle primary to succeed retiring Democratic Rep. Lois Capps, too. The thinking was, by winning five of six states on Tuesday, Sanders could continue making the case that he has the wind at his back. Well, congrats, because D.C. allows people to vote absentee without stating a reason. And it’s much better for Democrats and Republicans to hold primaries open to all voters to increase participation and enthusiasm, as Trump and Sanders did this time.
