New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes four-year Premier League title vow

Liverpool fans got to see their new boss in action on Friday morning when he completed his first press conference, and the Anfield faithful will have been impressed with what they saw.

Jurgen Klopp paraphrased the iconic words on the base of Bill Shankly’s statue – “He made the people happy” – in his first interview with the club’s inhouse TV channel today.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager replaces Brendan Rodgers at Anfield, and admitted he felt there was a negative atmosphere around the club that he is looking to change.

Jurgen Klopp admits he’s taking on the “biggest challenge” in football after being named new Liverpool manager. Ferguson said. “When they’re sitting around that table to appoint a manager, do they say, well, ‘He can be part of the committee?’ That’s wrong, and I don’t think Jurgen Klopp will accept that”. I wanted these guys’.

Liverpool are tenth in the Premier League and have only taken 12 points from eight games.

While Klopp may wish to be called the “normal one” – a clear reference to Jose Mourinho’s famous ‘Special One’ quote – he is anything but and Liverpool supporters have every right to be excited. It’s important what people think when you leave. We want to be the best team in the world in the future.

He said: “Winning is important, but so is how you win and how you play the game”.

“Now we start work”. I believe in a playing philosophy that is very emotional, very fast and very strong.

“It was not a problem for 10 seconds”.

‘I think it’s wrong.

“All we want to discuss is very good players”.

“I’m a totally normal guy, I came from the Black Forest”.

“I don’t know everything but I am a pretty good listener”.

‘Nobody will sell a player I want to work with. I am 48. Most of my life I had no money to take a holiday and then I had no time. Klopp’s first test will come in the form of Premier League game against high-flying Tottenham at White Hart Lane on 17th October. “I hope we can feed off each other’s energy and that we take this journey together”.

Klopp has an excellent relationship with Buvač and Krawietz from his time at Dortmund, where he won two league titles and reached a Champions League Final. I’m not saying this year will be the best in the history of LFC, but if it happens we can celebrate this.
