And a rich supporter who wants to give more could shell out as much as $449,400 to the joint committee, whose proceeds are split between the Trump campaign and the party. Since becoming the presumptive GOP nominee, Trump has been singing a different tune. The committee will hold its first fundraising dinner in Los Angeles, California on May 25.

“By self-funding my campaign, I am not controlled by my donors, special interests or lobbyists”. He can solicit checks of up to nearly $450,000.

An RNC press release states the Trump Victory Committee will provide and coordinate support with Trump. “We still have a lot of hard work ahead of us to defeat Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, and I know this team is committed to raising the additional resources that will make the difference in producing victory this November”.

Chris Christie; and Los Angeles venture capitalist Elliott Broidy. Trump has said he believes that he and the party can jointly raise $1 billion. Both were leading fundraisers for Trump’s former rival for the nomination, Jeb Bush.

20-25 people are expected to attend the fundraiser and get a picture with Trump, according to the Post. Eisenberg said the Trump fundraising agreement enables the party to “recover the interest and enthusiasm of major donors and raise the money needed to win a Republican presidency, Senate and House, as well as secure the Supreme Court”.
