Ninja Gaiden series composer Keiji Yamagishi has revealed on Twitter earlier that he’s working on a new project. “I’ll be able to share more news in July”, the musician has said, so expect Koei Tecmo to make announcements in the coming weeks. Sure, it wasn’t Ninja Gaiden [Black], but what is? Whatever it turns out to be, it’s still exciting news for longtime fans of the series.

Team Ninja, the studio behind the most recent games in the series, are now working on a project called Nioh, which due out this year, making it unclear if they will be the ones continuing the series in the future. An interesting thing to note is that Mr. Yamagishi never worked on a Ninja Gaiden game with Team Ninja before.
Ninja Gaiden was a saga summit in the first Xbox and Xbox 360, and had adapted versions (Sigma) on PS3.

For all we know right now, this could be anything. More details will be divulged sometime in July.
