Amber Heard, who was awarded a restraining order from husband Johnny Depp on Friday, initially declined to give police a statement to protect the actor’s career, her attorneys said Tuesday.

Heard referenced the alleged December incident in her initial court filing last week, writing of “one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life”.
Although Heard apparently went through great lengths to document and report what she described as four years of physical abuse, Depp’s lawyer is pushing a “gold digger” narrative based on the premise that she’s making all of this up to obtain a substantial settlement during the divorce proceedings.
Heard says Depp threw a cell phone at her face, hitting her cheek and right eye during an attack at their Hollywood home on May 21, according to the Associated Press, which cited her sworn declaration in court.
In the face of denials from Johnny Depp’s legal team and mounting internet scrutiny, Amber Heard’s lawyers say that she’s given a statement to the Los Angeles Police Department to “set the record straight”.
Judge Carl H. Moor granted a temporary restraining order requiring Depp to stay at least 100 yards away from Heard and move out of the couple’s shared downtown Los Angeles condominium.
After Amber Heard’s filed for spousal support from husband Johnny Depp, her 2015 income has been made public.
“She can not continue to leave herself open to the vicious false and malicious allegations that have infected the media”, the statement read.
Meanwhile, Depp’s family and friends have come forward to defend the “Through the Looking Glass” star over the weekend.
The domestic abuse case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has worsened in its severity.
His bodyguards have also backed up this statement, saying that Johnny Depp was nowhere near his soon to be ex-wife when authorities arrived, despite her letting out a scream in order to make police think he was.
The statement from her legal team appears to address criticism of the actress. The actress has earned $10,000 in royalties from her role in Magic Mike XXL, more than $6,000 for Paranoia and $19.20 from 2011’s The Rum Diary, which also starred Depp.
The actress filed for divorce from Depp earlier this month. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly”.

Heard’s attorneys released a statement regarding loved ones coming to the actor’s defense, including his daughter Lily-Rose and his ex-love, Vanessa Paradis.
