Meanwhile, Harrison Ford was using the Twitter-verse to drop some pretty mild Star Wars news and/or plasma bombs.

“I can only say that Gwendoline Christie is my favorite”.

With this being the first Star Wars film without Lucas’s involvement, many fans are somewhat anxious over the next film. Disney doesn’t need to sell this movie to you any harder than they already have, so this behind-the-scenes video focuses on how much everyone involved with The Force Awakens loves Star Wars and can’t believe they’re making a new sequel to such a classic franchise.

Those of you who have been following updates and stories about Star Wars: The Force Awakens for a while will note that this dispels a rumor that has been going around for the last few months. The movie, directed by Rian Johnson, is set to continue the story of The Force Awakens, so it’s obviously a no-brainer that most – or all – of the characters will return. I mean, we come into the theater with different expectations of what we’ll see. What traditionally was the end of the movie is now only the prelude to the end of the movie, and now it’s customary for blockbuster franchises to squeeze in little scenes to tease the next film in the franchise. In the latest installment, the villain is Kylo Ren, a mysterious character portrayed by Adam Driver, who promises to finish what Darth Vader started.

Luke Skywalker is among the great unknowns of the new movie. The Imperial Stormtroopers have always been likened to Nazi armies, and many feminists view Princess Leia’s gold metal bikini and metal-collar captivity in “Return of the Jedi” as embodying a tyrannical ideal of feminine beauty.

R2-D2 (L) and BB-8 attend Star Wars Celebration 2015 on April 16, 2015 in Anaheim, California.

“Jar Jar is definitely not in the movie”, responded Kennedy, who said that Episode VIII will begin shooting in January. “It is good to be home, just like Han said in the trailer”.
