According to The Market Business, the device uses DJI three-axis gimbal stabilization technology, found on their Phantom drones. “Users can double tap the button to reset the sensor, or they can triple-tap and the camera will rotate 180 degrees, taking a video of the entire horizon”. With drones banned in India, DJI plans to bring Osmo to India very soon. It’s not cheap, retailing at $649, although you can buy the stick without the camera for less if you already own one of DJI’s Zenmuse cameras, which are interchangeable on top of the Osmo. Also, a camera-less model will be available, so you can use a model of your choice, like a GoPro or something even more performant. That means one person can handle filming with the Osmo while a friend nearby focuses on perfecting the shot.
Ready to accessorize and capture ultra high resolution footage, the new Osmo by DJI certainly appears to have done well to support its claim of reinventing the camera.

The time-lapse mode worked well in our testing, but the panorama had a few bugs.
Osmo also comes with a phone holder attachment that lets users see the camera view on their smartphones via Wi-Fi video link.
DJI has just released the ultimate selfie stick which aims to make selfies professional.
“We’re moving into a completely new product sphere”, said Adam Najberg, DJI’s Global Director of Communications. The Osmo camera also enables users to store up to 64GB of files. It used its technical expertise to produce its state-of-the-art steady camera. The camera may also be easily controlled by one hand, with all the important controls just within a thumb’s reach. That’s the gap DJI is trying to bridge. Press the trigger twice and the camera will automatically move to the forward position, no matter how it’s held.
