The X-Files is returning to television in January and this six-episode return to the world of Mulder and Scully. The man hasn’t gotten a promotion in over a decade! The X-Files crew is joined by Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani. The revival of X-Files include alumni Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) with only six episode story arc.
The new “X-Files” takes place in modern times, and follows Mulder and Scully years after the X-Files program has been shut down, though mysterious and alien events are still occurring. It’s a lesson that Mulder and Scully have never quite learned, and the y will face more betrayal when they are inevitably drawn back together on a case that will make Mulder question everything that he ever believed in.

The X-Files has a two-night season premiere airing Sunday January 24, 2016 10-11pm ET/7-8pm PT (after NFC Championship Game) and Monday January 25, 2016 at 8pm.
