New record temp set
Charnick said Sunday’s highs and possibly Saturday’s temperatures could threaten records, some of which were set in the 1930’s. Tucek says high temperatures today through Sunday should remain in the low- to mid-60s. Portions of the north country could close in on record highs; Watertown’s high for Saturday is expected to be 60 degrees while Sunday’s is 56.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said the warm weather could last for the next week.
The clouds should stay away tonight for a clear sky with a low temperature near 59 degrees, according to the Weather Service.
Those temperatures are about 10 to 20 degrees higher than normal for this time of year, ABC57 said.
The new record of 64 degrees set yesterday broke the previous December 8 high of 57 degrees reached in 1979 and 2004.
