The story is now a play in London, and the book is technically a script for the play. Previews began at the Palace Theatre in London in June and it is scheduled to officially premiere on Saturday, July 30.
Rowling has never clarified Harry’s actual birth year, but fans have guessed that the character would be turning 36 in 2016.
He read his first “Harry Potter” book in seventh grade and has seen all the movies.
“So I’m asking you one more time to keep secrets and let audiences enjoy “Cursed Child” with all the surprises that we’ve built into the story”.
The play picks up 19 years after Harry Potter defeats the evil wizard Lord Voldemort.
Hold on to your sorting hat: Harry Potter is back.
The play is already sold out through May 2017.
There will also be a four-hour Harry Potter celebration of the book’s release beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble at New Mexico State University, 1400 E. University Ave.
Harry Potter Countdown to Midnight Party: 8 p.m. – midnight, Barnes & Noble Bookstores, 8675 River Crossing Blvd., 2540 Perry Crossing Way, Plainfield, and 17090 Mercantile Blvd., Noblesville.
Fans who can’t wait to purchase their copy of the book are still able to pre-order at the store as well.
“I don’t think it gets bigger or more exciting than Harry Potter, both for readers and for our booksellers”, said Sandra Taylor, head of events at Waterstones. But she added; “For those who grew up on – and with – Harry Potter, it will revive a powerful addiction to Ms. Rowling’s brand of poignant truth”. Like a number of other bookshops, it is planning a special in-store event to mark Sunday’s release of the book.
“The Boy Who Lived” is the first chapter of the Potter series, wherein readers meet Harry as a newborn shortly after surviving a killing curse.

Rowling has long insisted there will be no new Harry Potter novels, so excitement about the new stage story is stratospherically high. “Ideally, I would like to see the play, but I think for people that read the books originally, we’re just so eager for a continuation of the universe, so we will read anything”.
