Joining Jones in the castare Milk’s Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, martial arts star Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed and Firefly’s Alan Tudyk. It’s likely that Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping their new look a mystery until the film hits theaters on December 18th, though we did get a sneak peek at Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker courtesy of a leaked photo.

From a talent and racial diversity perspective, this cast is fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what they do together.

Emojis already available were largely faces of popular characters (including several from The Force Awakens), vehicles and a handful of lightsabers. While nothing here is too revealing, aside from some new characters (Constable Zuvio) and general “army builders”, it is still really damn exciting to see them.

Kennedy also noted that the Han Solo prequel would show Solo more or less 15 years younger than the original “Star Wars“.

Star Wars fans have been delivered a treat in the form of a first cast photo for upcoming spin-off movie Rogue One. It will tell the story of “resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star“, according to the studio.

Despite his claims to largely be retired, legendary poster artist Drew Struzan has been lured back to work for one of the film series he’s most famous for portraying on paper: Star Wars. He wouldn’t be the first Doctor Who actor to voice a Star Wars character, as Tenth Doctor David Tennant previously played a droid named Huyang in an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
