On the whole, the latest version of Skype for Android is a remarkable update.
The new update was announced by the Skype team via blog post. Users can also view and reply to Skype text chats.
While the days of being able to hold Skype conversations between smart watch devices might not be here yet, that milestone seems to be getting closer now that owners of a few Android smart watches can tap into several features of Skype. Now, it has spread its wings and also extended its support to Android wear watches.
Skype for Android version 6.4 includes an expanded ability to read the latest messages and missed calls, which was previously done through notification bar mirroring. Like its Apple Watch counterpart, the Android Wear app allows users to respond to messages by speaking into the smartwatch, choosing from a selection of pre-written responses, or drawing a response like an emoji.
The updated Skype 6.4 for Android is now available to download through Google Play, which brings Android Wear support.

While Skype support for Apple Watch was already rolled out in April, this new move by Microsoft pinpoints just how serious Microsoft about its intentions to turn Skype into an ever stronger messaging service working across platforms. Managing calls simply lets you accept or decline, hang up, or mute an ongoing conversation.
