The Asus ZenWatch 2 has all but been confirmed for next week in their teaser video, and Motorola has been extensively field testing their revamped Moto 360 2015 around the streets of Chicago.

In addition, a recent report by Forbes added that the LG G Watch variant and the recently released LG Watch Urbane will also receive the new update over the next few weeks.

LG was the first company to launch an Android Wear smartwatch.

Samsung will be seen launching the Gear 2, a round faced smartwatch. Google modified its Android Wear platform shortly after, and Samsung, LG and Motorola all rolled out devices with the technology at last year’s Google developer conference. As per reported on Android Pit, this device will be complete with a metal body and is being dubbed as a “fashion accessory” by the company.

The new entrant in the smartwatch market is Huawei.

From the looks of it, the Apple Watch isn’t going to be pushed over easily, and this coupled with the silence from the end of Android Wear manufacturers is pointing toward the possibility that they are preparing themselves for an impending battle.

The Watch Urbane boasts circular 1.3-inch screen, heartrate monitor, Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of internal storage and a 410mAh battery – all virtually identical to the G Watch R. As with the G Watch R, the Watch Urbane is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance.
