New Star Wars trailer all about the bad guys

Those were the words we heard a year ago when the very first teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Disney released a new TV commercial Thursday on Facebook, featuring all kinds of badness and some dialogue between Snoke and fellow new bad guy Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

You don’t have to be a super-fan to notice the similarities between this scene and the countless times in the franchise that we have seen Vader inflict such pain by simply lifting his hand. Do check it out.

Fans can also catch a glimpse in the trailer of heroic duo Rey and Finn, a massive legion of Stormtroopers, and old favourites Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in the United Kingdom on December 17.

Andy Serkis’s computer generated baddie Supreme Leader Snoke – as yet unglimpsed – can be heard asking Ren if he has felt the awakening. The Force Awakens is just two weeks away, J.J. Abrams is opening up about iconic weapon of the Jedi and Sith and the role they play in the new film.

Fans do not have to wait long to find out the reason why director JJ Abrams is holding out on Skywalker screentime though as the movie is set to open worldwide on December 18.

Seems like every other Star Wars flick has had “sci-fi action violence” in it, so what makes this one any different?

The trailer posted on the Star Wars Facebook then jumps to Oscar Isaac’s Poe leading a squadron of X-Wing fighters in a chaotic aerial battle against TIE Fighters. Disney has really been ramping up the marketing for the highly-anticipated new installment in the classic saga – not that we need much convincing.
