The new look Top Gear, so the one without Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, has been confirmed to return next May.

The dashboard-mashing, high-speed stunt vehicle show, Top Gear, will return to the BBC on Sunday, May 8 with a new presenter in tow – Chris Evans.
New presenter Chris Evans spilled the news in an interview over the weekend, but we don’t yet know who’s going to be joining him in fronting up the programme – or even if there will be any new co-hosts. The presenter also added that the team had “already started making the films” and that “the films are good”.
The new season debuts on Sunday 8 May on BBC Two, and will run for 16 episodes.
“By the time we hit the air on May 5, we’ll have 32 films in the can as they say. Because they were brilliant at it, I’m not going to do that”, Evans said.
‘So, one thing is for sure, there’s not going to be me and one guy there, and one guy there, that’s not going to happen’.
The much-loved petrol heads have been thrilling their fans with motoring mayhem and mischief during Clarkson, Hammond and May Live.
The London shows boasted highlights including James Bond’s Aston Martin DB10 and a Porsche 918.
49-year-old Evans took over the show earlier this year following Jeremy Clarkson’s departure from the BBC over an altercation with Top Gear producer while filming scenes for the show.
