New United States citizen Amara Darboh makes unreal one-handed catch for Michigan
During today’s game against BYU, Darboh made a legitimately great catch to earn a first down on an eventual Michigan scoring drive.

Michigan’s 6-foot-2 senior brought in a leaping one-handed catch along the sideline to move the Wolverines into the red zone.
“I’m going to be mad if that’s not on the Top 10”, teammate Khalid Hill said following the game.
Darboh, a native of the West African country Sierra Leone, took the U.S. Oath of Allegiance Thursday, thereby making him a USA citizen.
Darboh left Sierra Leone with his family for Gambia when he was 2 or 3. He fled the country with extended family as a toddler and eventually landed in Iowa as a seven-year-old. “I’ve been here for 14 years”.
Growing up, Darboh says he considered himself an American. “It feels official now”.
But that couldn’t stop him this time, as Darboh passed his citizenship test on Monday.
Darboh is leading the team with three receptions for 43 yards in the first half.

Michigan’s third score of the day was pretty neat, too.
