Until now Sony has been hiding what Venom looks like. The deal is set to expire after the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, which means the future of the Spider-Man universe could be up in the air.

To simply put it, he looks absolutely bonkers, a huge improvement from Sam Raimi’s iteration in Spider-Man 3.

In Venom, Tom Hardy will be playing the role of Eddie Brock, a journalist, who interviews Carlton Drake, the leader of the Life Foundation.

Venom fans were certainly afraid for the fate of the movie since Venom’s teaser-trailer released earlier this year, was decidedly underwhelming.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about Venom.

There’s also criticism that the film’s structure and plot has been seen numerous times before in the MCU “Welcome to the plot of 99% of the Ultimate Marvel Comics”, one Reddit user complained.

While the trailer only offers one full look of the anti-hero, but there are many other scenes showcasing his powers.

The story is far different than the character’s debut in the Spider-Man comics which had a very different origin than this movie is showing.

The trailer shows Slate’s character contacting Brock and revealing what the company is up to, and as you’d expect from a movie called Venom, he ends up accidentally being infected by the symbiote.

The newest trailer for Venom has finally given fans a glimpse at the actor morphing into the scary yet incredible supervillain. What better way than to tease them with a pretty solid looking Venom courtesy of Tom Hardy.

“Ah, now eventually you DO plan to have Venom in your, in your VENOM movie, right?”

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom will hit theatres on October 5.
