At the start of June, Gamestop CEO Paul Raines may have jumped the gun in confirming that Microsoft and Sony are releasing new models of their Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles. You’ll see games and maybe some hardware you weren’t expecting, but you’ll also see a new Xbox One console.

Microsoft may be introducing a 2 terabyte version of the Xbox One S, with support for 4K video playback.

The power brick is internal in the new console as well, meaning that the power supply is built in.

The Xbox One Slim is also pictured as a clean white unit, including its controllers. The details list the new console as being 40 percent slimmer than the current iteration of the console.

We’re at E3 all this week to bring you more. Compared to the Xbox One, the PS4 is a better looking and sleeker gaming console.

In terms of price, the Xbox One S will be more expensive than the Xbox One based on the specs (see below). “It will be available in three variants — Standard with 500GB storage for $299, Standard with 1TB disk for $349 and the Special version with 2TB disk for $399.

The images haven’t been officially confirmed by Microsoft, with the company releasing its usual refusal to comment on rumours.

The Verge adds that Microsoft has provided the option of a vertical stand, meaning that the console will not have to sit vertically anymore, as well as a “streamlined controller”. Features mentioned in the NeoGAF documents state that the new system will indeed support 4K video, High Dynamic Range and the aforementioned 2TB hard drive.

Although there are still hours to go until Microsoft’s E3 2016 media briefing, the Xbox One S has been leaked with details ahead of the press conference.
