New York bombing: Police seek 28-year-old man
A CBS security analyst reports that two individuals besides Rahami were seen on security footage handling the bomb that was found unexploded in Manhattan on Saturday night. The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about an ongoing investigation.

Media began reporting just before 10:30 a.m. that Rahami – a USA citizen of Afghan descent – had been apprehended in New Jersey and is in custody. Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said Rahami last listed a home address in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where five pipe bombs were discovered near a train station overnight.
“That was not a controlled explosion”, said Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage.
Authorities told the TV station the police officer’s sustained non-life threatening injuries.
This weekend numerous terror-related events took place in the NY and New Jersey area.
After a day long manhunt, authorities apprehended 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami in an armed standoff that ended with Rahami and at least one officer wounded.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said it was clearly “an act of terrorism”, although it hadn’t been linked to an worldwide terrorist group.
Mr Cuomo said on Monday that there might be a foreign connection to the Manhattan attack. He says the president also expressed appreciation for the work of first responders. The second – in Seaside Park, New Jersey – was apparently a race organized in this city, but caused no casualties.
Police issued a push notification to IPhone users in the NY area this morning identifying a suspect in the NY explosions. No one was injured in that blast.
Rahami’s last known address was in Elizabeth, N.J., where a third bombing incident unfolded early Monday.
