New York Giants WR Odell Beckham suspended one game
Following Sunday afternoon’s thriller in East Rutherford, NJ between the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers, much of the conversation was surrounding Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr.

Several of Beckham’s in-game altercations were with Carolina cornerback Josh Norman, including a helmet-to-helmet hit, which required Norman be tested for a concussion.
During Beckham’s encounters with Norman, the Pro Bowler drew penalties for four of them, three of which labeled “personal fouls” for his over-aggressiveness.
Norman was infuriated by the helmet-to-helmet hit and called for the league to look at Beckham’s play. Whether it was throwing punches or just overall tussling, things were definitely taken to another level. He wrote: “Coaches and players in every sport use objects as symbols of motivation the bat is a symbol”.
Odell Beckham Jr.’s appeal hearing will take place Wednesday, and James Thrash will render the decision on whether the one-game suspension levied against the Giants phenom will stick for Sunday’s game against the Vikings in Minneapolis.
Norman hand his hands all over a ref Sunday.
As for whether he will back up Tony Romo next year, coach Jason Garrett isn’t interested in talking about auditions even though the Cowboys (4-10) are eliminated from the playoffs with two games to go, as are the Bills (6-8).
“I will not defend his actions yesterday, because they were wrong and this particular franchise and organization does not tolerate that, so I would not do that”, he said.
Ball, in his first year with Carolina, was among five practice squad players who made the trip to NY as a reward for their work throughout the season.
“These last two games are division opponents, and we’ll be in a hostile environment in Atlanta and we’ve got a tricky week with Christmas”, Newton said.
Woodson, one of the best defenders ever to play the game, won the Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers in the 2010-11 season and was named to the Pro Bowl eight times.
Of all the things National Football League players can do to each other on the field the one most forbidden in today’s climate is to intentionally hit another player in the head.
“And secondly”, he said, “there’s a young player that’s being educated that, quite frankly, is an excellent football player”.
Asked what kind of effect playing without Beckham would have on those chances, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday, “You ask a question that requires no answer”.
“Marcus has given me no reason not to believe what he told me”.
I still couldn’t help but think there was something more going on here.
“He cried a little bit”, said Giants quarterback Eli Manning, referring to Norman.
“The officials let Odell Beckham get away with way to many things early in the game”.

“I said, ‘Bro, you went too far”. So, I just know if we have to play them again, it’s not going to go well. The Giants are also tied with the Philadelphia Eagles, whom they must play in two weeks’ time for their regular season finale.
