“It’s something very childish”, Bowles said before Tuesday’s practice. He also said, “You don’t walk up to a man and punch him in the face”.

“It was something very childish, something sixth-graders could’ve talked about”, he said. If they want to tell you what happened they’ll tell you what happened.

Journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick, aka the Amish Rifle, started 12 games last year with the Houston Texans, completing 63.1 percent of his throws for 2,483 yards, 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

“There was an altercation in the locker room [Tuesday morning]”.

“I have no regrets of things that I’ve done”, Newton said. Enemkpali confronted Smith on Tuesday about the money, and the confrontation ended in a punch and a broken jaw. Schefter adds that Smith intended to pay his then-teammate back but had yet to do so. IK reportedly approached Geno about the situation on August. 11, and things got heated, according to ESPN. Smith had to have surgery to fix the breaks and is estimated to be out of action for the next 6 to 10 weeks.

“My only goal is to heal quickly and get back to playing with my teammates so I can be the best QB possible for the New York Jets“, Smith said in a statement. I was never my intention to harm anyone.

Many fans for several seasons in turn claimed that Smith has not even played to the caliber of a later round draft pick.

The 6-foot-1, 261-pound Enemkpali was arrested in April 2011 for disturbing the peace and battery of a police officer after an off-campus incident in Ruston, Louisiana, the Austin American-Statesman reported in May 2014.
